Meeting Held on the 16th of January 1957 in the Hall - Presided over by Mr Lawrence There was nothing to report. Meeting Held on the 31st of January 1957 in the Hall - Presided over by Mr Lawrence It was announced that we would be playing Hopton at Basketball on Friday Meeting Held on the 13th of February 1957 in the Hall - Presided over by Mr Lawrence The results of two basketball matches were announced. We lost 28-26 against Hopton and drew with Cromwell 12-12 A team for the Geographical Society Inter-House quiz was picked by the 1st, 2nd and 3rd forms. 1st Form Pople Meeting Held on the 6th of March 1957 in the Hall - Presided over by Mr Lawrence It was announced that we had won our 1st basketball match 17-9 against Wyndham and that we would be playing Hopton on Friday. We were 2nd in the
Geographical Society Inter-House Quiz. It was announced that there was
a Junior Rugby practise on Thursday at 1.15pm Meeting Held on the 20th of March 1957 in the Hall - Presided over by Mr Cudlipp
Mr Cudlipp urged training for the cross-country which would be next term. He also raised the question of house badges. Meeting Held on the 3rd of April 1957 in the Hall - Presided over by Mr Lawrence It was announced that we had beaten Wyndham at a basketball match by 11-10. We lost both the senior and junior rugby matches. Hopton beat us 17-0 in Senior rugby and by Wyndham 9-8 in the Junior rugby. Meeting Held on the 8th of May 1957 in the Hall - Presided over by Mr Lawrence Mr Lawrence noticed that there was a lack of hymn books amongst the members of the House. Entries were taken for the cross-country and School Sports and there were good entries in each case. It was announced
that we had finished 2nd in the basketball league Meeting Held on the 22nd of May 1957 in the Hall - Presided over by Mr Lawrence We were congratulated on winning the Cross-Country Cup in the Seniors. The Intermediates were second in the final placing and the Juniors thrid. C Richards was congratulated on winning the Intermediate race. Gardner The 1st Form members and other House members where told that House Badges would be on sale at the next House meeting Meeting Held on the 22nd of September 1957 in the Hall - Presided over by Mr Lawrence After the reading and prayers, the minutes of the last meeting were read. House badges were being sold and only 5 of the first form members had not bought a badge. The lack of a House Badge was noticed amongst senior House members. Meeting Held on the 23rd of October 1957 in the Hall - Presided over by Mr Bollom After the reading and prayers, the Minutes of the last meeting were read At the present time it was announced that Fairfax were top of the Basketball league having beaten Hopton 28-22 and drawing with Cromwell 11-11. Mt Bollom expressed the hope that these fine results would be repeated in all the other sports. Meeting Held on the 6th of November 1957 in the Hall - Presided over by Mr Lawrence It was announced that we were to play Wyndham at basketball on 15th November. Mt Lawrence mentioned that House badges were on order and he said that all senior members must buy them when they arrive. Meeting Held on the 20th of November 1957 in the Hall - Presided over by Mr Lawrence The match which was played against Wyndham was won by the House team by 30-9. It was also announced that we were playing Cromwell on Friday November 22nd. Meeting Held on the 4th of December 1957 in the Hall - Presided over by Mr Lawrence It was announced that we had beaten Cromwell by 25-7 at basketball and that we were playing Hopton on 6th December. Meeting Held on the 18th of December 1957 in the Hall - Presided over by Mr Lawrence It was announced
that we had beaten Hopton at basketball by 24-14 and at the moment we
were top of the league. |
