Dr
Morgan's & The First World War |

|
This is taken from the Editorial of the Morganian Magazine on December 14th 1914. It is with feelings of intense pride that we publish on the preceding page the names of those Old Morganians who have nobly and unselfishly responded to the call of duty and devoted themselves to the service of their country in the hour of need....... We leave it to other and abler pens to describe the causes and progess of the War which has been forced upon us, but we give way to none in expressing our admiration for those in general who have left all to fight, or even to prepare to fight their country's battle against a desperate, a malignant and an unscrupulous foe. If they happen to be Old Boys of Dr Morgan's School, let them be assured that their names and memories are enshrined for ever, on tablets more durable than brass or stone, in the hearts and minds of all now connected with our ancient foundation.
